Catalina is just North of Oro Valley, a small community where the weather fluctuates and is usually somewhere between 6-8 degrees cooler than Tucson.  It has a lot of rural areas that allow you to have farm animals and horses, riding paths and in some areas, access right into the Catalina State Park from your property or not far away.  The community boundaries are Oracle Junction on the North and the Big Wash on the West and Catalina State Park on the South and the Coronado Forest on the East.  It is off of the main north-south traffic artery.

Local dining with easy feel and the area, local grocery, hardware and general stores in Catalina.  There is a Basha's supermarket for grocery shopping and a 120,000 square foot retail plaza with Fry's Food and Drug store anchor at the intersection of Oracle Road and Saddlebrooke Boulevard, just north of the Pima and Pinal county line in Catalina.
